Dividend Income Report- November 2017

Here are the final numbers for my passive dividend income for November 2017.  These are just dividends from all stock holdings and all accounts.

For November, dividend income comes in at $1313.69.  Traditionally, the middle month of every calendar quarter is my lower dividend income month, so this is no surprise.  However when compared to dividend income from November of 2016 ($1,155.34), I saw a YOY increase of 13.70%.  Not bad, but this is my lowest year over year increase for all of 2017.

For anyone keeping track, the following charts plots out almost 10 years of my dividend income.  I think it shows the slow and steady pace of the income increasing over time, and now provides more than enough for me to comfortably live off.

The interesting thing to look at is the “Annual” tab in the spreadsheet.  Here you can see my dividend income has a YOY increase of 42.74%, and I still have one strong December month to go in the year.

Since October was a busy month, I’ll provide a quick update on that month’s dividend income.  October 2017 came in at $2187.49 and was a 35.31% increase from October 2016.

One of the goals with my investments, was to be able to live off of the dividend income and retire at an early age.  I retired at 36 and was able to start living off the dividend income.  Yes, I did go back to work in 2017, however due to a sheer boredom with the work, I am 99% certain I will stop working in July of 2018 and resume early retirement.  Recent developments in my relationship world have also pretty much made that a final decision as well.  I will get back to travelling the national parks and exploring this beautiful country.

  1. Your YOY is always so inspiring. I hope that you can leave the unnecessary boredom when you’d like. You’ve definitely earned it.

    • Thanks ZJ, I’m 90% certain I will leave my current job in June or July. If I’m going to be bored, I’d rather it be on my own time than a companies time
